Who is La Galera Cigars and what are they about?
La Galera Cigars was established in 1936, by blender and owner, Jose Arnaldo Blanco, also known as ‘Jochy’. At the Tabacalera Palma’s factory is where the magic was born and perfected by Jose himself and his fellow cigar enthusiasts. They describe tobacco cultivation as a craft that requires physical, emotional, and moral investment. The tobacco that is harvested comes from the best and more fertile lands of the Dominican Republic – Santiago. The tobacco leaves undergo careful fermentation and aging in order to create outstanding and consistent blends.
For example, if you are a first time cigar smoker or someone who is an experienced smoker and want to try something new then these cigars are a great choice. If you are someone who prefers a Mild to Medium – Bodied Blend, we recommend the Connecticut. For those who prefer a more Fuller – Bodied Blend, we recommend the Maduro.

These specific cigars are something for anyone, but it all depends on what preference of Flavor and Strength you are looking for.
La Galera Maduro
This cigar is going to be a more Medium – Full Strength with a Full Flavor taste. The Maduro has a San Andres Wrapper with Piloto Cubano and Criollo 98 tobacco. The Maduro will entice the right taste buds while you are enjoying the relaxation time while ultimately getting a balanced and pleasant smoke for the consistent performance the smoker deserves.
La Galera 1936 Box Pressed
The 1936 Box Pressed cigar is one the Jochy Blanco envisioned many years ago. This masterpiece is encompassed with a collection of the finest and most brilliantly rich tobaccos. 1936 Box Pressed has a Medium – Full Strength with a Full Flavor. It features a Habano Ecuador wrapper, Dominican Criollo 98′ binder, and Dominican Piloto Cubano filler tobaccos.
La Galera Connecticut
For the Mild – Medium Strength preferred cigar smokers; this is the perfect cigar for you. The Connecticut is wrapped with a rich Connecticut Ecuador Leaf, and a binder & filler combination composed of Dominican grown seeds. This beautifully made cigar bestows the smoker a delightful smoke that lingers with a pleasurable taste and savour. For new cigar smokers this is a great recommendation to try because you will experience the smooth flavor but at a milder strength.
La Galera Habano
The Habano cigar is an authentic Dominican cigar blended around an outstandingly flavorful Ecuadorian Habano Wrapper. This has a Dominican grown Corojo binder and filler that creates Medium to Full Flavor. When you put all of this together it is attractively consistent and aromatic smoke that envies no other.
